I’ve previously mentioned that the all wheel drive 265hp Golf R seems to be bloody near the ideal of the perfect all round car. I have also complained at great length about the terrifying lack of Scirocco in North America. For those of you who are living in holes, the VW Scirocco is a lower, more grippy GTI that only comes in a two door trim and looks gorgeous. Sadly, VW’s North American marketing team said that they don’t want to sell it here, since they think it will jeopardize GTI sales.
