The SL65 AMG Black Series is completely mental. Completely bat shit crazy. So is the Washington Capitals’ star: Alexander Ovechkin. And yet, he’s the biggest beauty in the National Hockey League. By “beauty”, I’m certainly not referring to physical appearance because Ovechkin is just plain ugly. But that’s what makes him even more alluring – despite his looks, he’s the best player in the NHL, he loves scoring goals more than a mother loves her son, and he lives life. Case in point, number 8’s purchase of a 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series. One of 350 in the world. I guess his S65 wasn’t cutting it anymore. The SL65 Black is also a “beauty”, with 661 hp and 738 torques from a twin-turbo 6.0L V12. It also looks especially sinister in the black colour that Ovie chose. Video after the jump.

The SL65 Black doesn’t make it on-screen until about 9:40, so stay patient and enjoy a well-put-together film on the Gr8 One. Then you’ll see why I think Ovechkin is the best thing to happen to hockey in a long, long time. Oh yea, and the SL65 Black is cool too.
