One thing I neglected to mention earlier about Jag’s new XFR is that the Coventry Crew made a trip over to the states in November, 2008. What for? To make a pilgrimage to the salt flats of Bonneville. It was there that Jaguar broke a 16-year-old record. We’ve even got the video to prove it. 

 

For those who are less mathematically inclined, 225.675mph is equivalent to 363.189kph. My goodness that is quick for a four-door saloon. Keep in mind though, that the XFR taken to Bonneville had aero mods and a derestricted ECU that bumped the horsepower from a pedestrian 510 to a mental 600. Insane…
