Nothing says you’ve arrived like a Duesenberg. Heading into the (first) Great Depression, Duesenberg was theluxury car, costing Rockefeller-money. Check out this 1930 Duesenberg J Murphy Town Car, one of only 4 built! Even 80 years after this car was produced, it still has the same presence it did when it rolled off the assembly line.
How about a Lancia 037 Stradale? Now thatwould be different. Designed by Pininfarina to succeed the Fiat 131 in World Rallying, the 037 Stradale was powered by a 16V supercharged 4-cylinder with 270 hp. Bellisimo!
Of course, very few prices are listed. Instead, potential buyers are asked to contact the dealer for more info. Fair enough, I suppose, but I’d still like to know exactly how unattainable these cars are. Am I looking at $200,000 or $2,000,000?
