Walter Röhrl has been Porsche’s official test driver for who knows how long. He also has more than a few rallying victories to his credit. Those two bits of info alone should be enough to convince you that he’s at least competent behind the wheel. But a little video proof couldn’t hurt. This video is from this year’s 24 Hours of Nurburgring, where Röhrl competed in a stock 911 GT3 RS with an automotive journalist. Really? A genuine race car driver sharing seat time with a writer? Yes, really. That writer was Evo’s Chris Harris, or Monkey Harris as he is also known. We don’t have any footage of Monkey lapping the sopping wet ‘Ring, but we do have some of Röhrl. You won’t believe the car control he has in miserable conditions on a very demanding circuit.
