GT3_RS_PETERIt is not important how I got this picture. I just did, ok? The point is that the newest GT3 RS, the hardest and most focused car in the Porsche range, has just been announced. Follow below for a gallery and to see how it stacks up against the already impressive GT3.

For starters, the base price for the RS is $163,000 Canuck Bucks, which is an increase of $25,000 over the GT3. What does $25,000 Porsche Bucks buy you? Fifteen more horsepower at 7,900 rpm for a total of 450 from the naturally-aspirated 3.8L. That equates to a simply sickening 118.4 hp/L. Without forced induction, that is. The power is put to the pavement by 325/30 ZR19 rubber. Those ginormous contact patches along with the power boost shave the 0-100 kph time by 0.1 seconds to 4 dead.

Remember the dynamic engine mounts that were optional on the GT3? They are standard kit on the RS. You can also opt for a lithium-ion battery that reduces weight by 10 kilos or 22 lbs. With the special battery, the RS weighs in at 1360 kg, compared to 1395 kg for the GT3.

And that, my friends, is was $25,000 Canadian dollars buys you. Oh, and some lovely, lovely stickers.

Feel free to use the images below as wallpapers. I know I will be.
