South Africa doesn’t get mentioned too often in the automotive world, but when it does it’s usually because of something they have produced down there that is truly spectacular/ridiculous. This looks spectacular. Basically, it’s an over the top, Italian style, super car from Africa from a new manufacturer called the Perana Performance Group. A few more tasty details after the jump.
The body is made in Italy by Zagato, and they have really outdone themselves. The nice thing is that, unlike previous limited edition Zagato designs which are limited at 99, this one is limited at 999. Yay! 900 more drop dead gorgeous cars than would have otherwise been expected roaming around the streets. A body by itself is nothing though, so Perana is putting a 6.2l Corvette LS3 V8 under the hood. They say they have been able to get it going 100 kph in less than four seconds.
It should debut at Geneva, and cost R750,000… however much that’s worth.
