UPDATE: New video from Lexus (also after jump) highlights testing and manufacturing processes. This is why I love Japanese cars!

It’s here! It’s here! It’s finally, finally here! After an elephantine gestation period, it’s here! As we’ve seen before, the Lexus LF-A is no laughing matter in the supercar arena. With a 560hp and 365 lb ft 4.8L V10 that revs to 9,000 rpm, Lexus hasn’t pussy-footed into its first effort at making an enthusiast car (IS-F notwithstanding). Now, with just hours to go until the official Tokyo Motor Show reveal, we’ve obtained a leaked video of the production car and specs and a huge gallery !

Aside from those power output specs above, we know this…

Curb weight: 3,263 lbs. Drive wheels: Rear. Transmission: 6-speed sequential gearbox. 65% of body is carbon fibre. 0-100kph in 3.7 seconds. Top speed: 325 kph.

The aethetic highlights include Ford Fusion-inspired front fascia, a techno-geeky LCD display, the same triple exhaust from the concept, and some outlandish details that show us just how far the L-Finesse design philosophy has come. But don’t take me word for it, watch the video below.

While overall the car has an attractive quality, the front end is marred in confusion and is the lowlight of the design. Especially from head-on, the proportions don’t look modern or classy enough to justify the expected price of $400,000. Not to dwell too much on the bad stuff though, as the brilliance of the design is in the details, especially along the flanks. Just get a load of those vents!
