DRIVEN 2009: The Results

Author:

About 10 days ago, Emmet and I attended DRIVEN 2009, a collection of cars, hip-hop music, and booth babes professionals aimed squarely at Edmonton’s urban youth culture. By our simpleton, Albertan standards, the exotic car collection at the show was impressive. Although there were no Ferraris, Maseratis, or anything ultra-exotic like a Pagani in attendance, there was other Italian, German, and British hardware to draw our attention. These included a Lamorghini Gallardo Superleggera, a Murcielago, an R8, a Conti GT, 2 Ford GTs, a GT-R or two, tuned Porsche 911 Turbos, and a Viper SRT-10 ACR (with Nurburgring decals and everything!).

As you’ll notice from the video, we even found a few scantily-clad booth professionals who managed to draw even more attention than either the cars or the on-stage performers. We also managed to snag a couple of interviews with the owners and/or managers of some Grade-A, certified Albertan beef car performance shops, and you can expect to see those interviews in the coming days. Until then, enjoy this car/girl-themed music video.
